I thing we would be hard pressed to find anyone in the world that over the age of 6 months (and that might even be pushing it) that has never in their life been disappointed. Disappointments happen often. We come to expect and hope for something to arrive, someone to meet some need or want, or for some outcome to some situation and it just doesn’t work out.
Today on Married and Replanting Dusty and I talk about some of the more recent disappointments we have gone through and how we have dealt and are continuing to deal with them. From seeing fantastic things happening within our little church replanting ministry and then suddenly finding out all we have been doing to reach the community is abruptly coming to an end to drastic changes in our family and home life, we try to lay it all out there. But in the end, the one one conclusion we are both able to reach is this:
With fervent prayer, seeking wise counsel, and recognizing the situation and emotions for what they are we can only do the best we can with the information we are given and at the end of the day God is still going to be God and He will still be in control and working everything to His glory.
