Hey there! I’m Elizabeth and I’m the creative genius (HAHA!) around these parts. I am wife to Dusty, and mom to Collin, RaeLynn, and Madilynn. I started blogging in 2012 as a way to share with my friends and family all about life in the big city (Fort Worth, Texas) from the perspective of a small-town gal as we waded through the waters of Dusty’s journey toward his Master of Divinity (a fancy way of saying he knows his stuff about the Bible!) degree. Then, surprisingly, just one short year into our journey God threw us a curve ball and drew me into the fold of academia. Over the course of the next five years I not only spent time supporting my husband in his educational pursuits, working part time in various capacities, and homeschooling the kiddos, but I also found myself in the trenches of research papers, book reviews, and lecture notes. What started out as a few simple classes on a certificate level so I could have a tiny glimpse into what types of things are taught in seminary turned into a full blown Master of Arts in Christian Education degree, which I completed in the Fall of 2018.
The summer of 2019 brought change yet again for our little family as we made the decision to pack up and move back to our home state of New Mexico where we would have the support of family as Dusty continued to work toward finishing his own degree in an online format. By December we found ourselves on yet another adventure as Dusty began serving in a new role: Pastor of The Well (formerly known as New Life Baptist Fellowship Church) in Alamogordo, New Mexico, a church ripe for replanting and revitalization. We also host a weekly podcast called The Married and Replanting Podcast, where we discuss all things church replanting, marriage, family, and well…anything that happens to strike our fancy.

I hope to use this little corner of the web to share some of the wisdom, knowledge, and insights I gained through my own journey of life. I am a firm believer that the Proverbs 31:10-31 and Titus 2:3-5 models are the best way to strengthen the women in our world today. Often times the world wants to convince us that the Bible is archaic and outdated. They claim the mandates within the pages don’t fit our time or culture. But I believe they have never been more relevant. My goal with this little slice of the internet is to encourage, strengthen, and uplift women everywhere as we all work toward fulfilling the roles that God has given us. I am no where perfect in any area of my life, but it is my desire to continue to grow in grace and wisdom each and every day as I work to navigate the jobs of wife, mom, friend, sister, and daughter that I have been give.
A few fun facts
I was born and raised in New Mexico.
My husband is also a native New Mexican but we didn’t meet until we were in college together.

My husband and I got married in 2008 just one month after we graduated from college.
I have a lot of different roles: teacher, manager, homemaker, pastor’s wife, and chauffer but my favorite role is MOM.
We are a full time year round homeschooling family and we love it! The freedom to choose what we learn, when or how we learn it, and at what pace is beyond fantastic!
I LOVE to read. Books of all kinds make me happy.
I also LOVE to bake, craft, and sew. Almost anything that can get my creative juices flowing I am into.
I am an avid planner. I started my planning journey with a basic day planner and moved into more creative means of planning such as Erin Condren and Happy Planners-its the perfect combination of organization and creativity!
My family is my happy place. Where ever they are is where I want to be.
I look forward to sharing my journey as I go. Grab a cup of tea and get cozy! I’m glad to have you here!
