If you know anything about baseball you know that a curveball has the reputation of being one of the more challenging pitches to swing at. It’s also one of the more challenging pitches to throw correctly. It’s no wonder that when life veers off course and things don’t go the way the had been planned they are labeled as curveballs.
Life has provided it’s fair share of curveballs for Dusty and I over the course of our 15 years of ministry and 12 years of marriage. As with everything in life, however, it’s not about the actual curveball itself but more about the response and regroup to move forward.
This week Dusty and I talk about some general overarching responses to some things that we have been thrown over the years. We then give a couple very specific examples of some curveballs we have experienced, one in the ministry and one in our marriage.
No matter what life throws at us the end result that we came to was this: When life throws you curveballs stop, take a breathe, lean into God, and remember that He is going to work things out for good if you just remember to trust in Him no matter what.
So grab a cup of coffee, a glass of sweet tea, or your favorite bottle of root beer and join us as we discuss the catching life’s curveballs.
